Endermologie based massage not only pampers, it also assists in fighting and preventing cellulite. This procedure helps restore the body's natural tendencies by manipulating the muscles, and stimulating the circulatory and lymphatic systems that break down fatty tissue. Massage targets areas that are difficult to stimulate with exercise.

How does it Work?

The rolling and sucking action of the machine work together to 'stretch' the septa back to an upright position. The septa attaches the skin to the fat cells and when it is out of shape due to genetic and lifestyle factors, it starts to bend sideways causing the dimple effect. The action of the machine once again promotes elimination of toxins which are present in the affected area and helps to restore its smoothness and fight the orange peel effect.

Treatments use gently suction to fold and massage your hyperdermis where the cellulite condition resides. This increases circulation and stimulates the subcutaneous and deep layers of fat and muscle. The increased blood flow helps to shrink the fat cells. The mechanical action of the Silhouette hand piece also stimulates the dermis, improves circulation and increases the exfoliation of skin cells which adds to the enhanced appearance of the skin. Usually patients notice changes within 6 or 8 sessions. However, 14 is the average number of treatments recommended.

Microdermabrasion and Chemical Peels are a wonderful part of a full skin care regimen. Like exercise, for our bodies, regular treatments will help to condition the surface of the skin. These two particular services also aid the Skin Rejuvenation by exfoliating and softening the skin thus allowing the maximum penetration into the deeper layers of the skin. Both procedures rid you of dead skin that has accumulated over time. It assists in keeping pores the proper size and helps keep wrinkles from forming. Your skin will never feel so fresh. A microdermabrasion or "lunch-time" peel is a perfect and inexpensive way to keep your skin looking smooth and youthful!

What Are Dermarollers

Derma-rolling is also known as micro-needling, skin rolling or collagen induction therapy (CIT). Derma Rollers are made of many high grade micro needles which roll over and penetrate the skins upper surface painlessly. These revolutionary devices provide two major benefits.

Firstly, they stimulate collagen growth which significantly improves the appearance of scars, fine lines, wrinkles, stretch mark, and acne scars.

Secondly, they allow the transdermal application of creams, gels and oils, to be absorbed far more effectively - boosting their effectiveness massively. This is relevant to hair loss treatments as well as cellulite reduction.

As you roll the skin roller over your skin, it creates pin point punctures into the dermis - the majority of which are simply pushing your pores open temporarily. This is perceived by the body as damage, which stimulates the release of growth factors that trigger the production of collagen and elastin. The human body reacts to any injury by initiating the healing process, but usually it will only heal as far as it must to keep you healthy - which is different to healing to a cosmetic level. By persistently triggering the healing process, you encourage your body to continue healing until the job is finished.

Your body normally assumes that scars, stretch marks and wrinkles are OK, but with the gentle daily reminder caused by the Derma Roller the body is tricked into continuing the healing process until the body has also healed itself on a cosmetic level. This process of skin remodelling can go on for months after each Derma Roller treatment, but noticeable results can be seen within a week! Your skin naturally renews itself every 40 days, so with a little stimulation changes can be dramatic and fast.

Skin micro-needling with the Derma Roller may be carried out safely on all types of skin and all skin colors. Other treatments often have to avoid Sensitive areas - such as around the eyes, the neck and the backs of the hands, but the Derma Roller can be used on all of these areas. The epidermis and melanocytes in the basal area are not damaged, so there’s no possibility of post inflammatory hyper pigmentation.

Dermarollers are used for a treatment process called micro needling or skin needling. It is a form of collagen induction therapy, quickly gaining popularity in the USA, UK and Europe. Dermarollers are already hugely popular in parts of Asia where skin needling has been practised for some time. Unlike other treatments for acne scars, stretch marks and wrinkles, Dermarollers do not damage the skin or remove the epidermis layer.

How Skin Needling And Derma-rollers Work

Although there are no outward signs of damage, one single micro needle causes a tiny wound in the skin. You cannot see it or feel it as the damage is on a minute scale. Despite the minuscule nature of the wound, the body still acts to heal itself in its own natural way. The post traumatic response of the skin is to produce collagen and elastin – two of the key building blocks of skin. As there has been no removal or “real” damage to existing collagen, the new formations of it simply add to existing levels.

Imagine now that on a typical roller, there are 192 needles. If when using the Dermaroller the skin is rolled six times (back and forth in three directions), this is over a thousand needle entries, all of which will act to stimulate new collagen fibers. It is not difficult to see that over time, this will act to massively increase the thickness, suppleness and general condition of the skin in these areas.

Step One - The Microneedles of the dermaroller penetrate the epidermis and dermis layer of skin. The process should not be painful and no blood should be drawn.

Other Microneedling Benefits

In addition to stimulating collagen growth, micro needling also create channels through which any substance applied to the skins surface (know as topical application) can be absorbed far more easily. It is, after all, the skins job to keep things out and piercing this shield works well in breaking down that barrier for a limited time.

What this means is any topical application used actually reaches the areas it is intended for. Studies suggest that using a dermaroller in this way can boost the effectiveness of topical treatment by several hundred percent.

Step 2 - The derma roller needles will leave micro channels into the skin. This gives a pathway for skin products to penetrate far more easily, boosting their effectiveness massively. These channels should close up within an hour.

So if you are also applying moisturizing cream or any other type of product, the nutrients or active ingredients are allowed to reach the lower levels of the skins layers. This vastly improves the effectiveness of skin care products by several hundred percent. It also means that the the best conditions possible are achievable for collagen production.

Similarly, if the derma roller is used in conjunction with a hair loss treatment (of topically applied lotion) the effectiveness of the gel, cream or liquid is massively boosted. Considering the cost of hair loss reduction treatments, the Dermaroller represents a superb way to reduce these costs whilst still enhancing results.

Dermarollers For Cellulite

With the thickening of skin, the top epidermis layer lies tighter and firmer. Its outward appearance is improved as it looks younger and healthier. This is the reason why Dermaroller treatments are also suggested for reducing the appearance of cellulite.

Step 3 - The skin naturally begins it’s response to the “trauma” of the skin needles. Collagen and elastin is generated and added to the existing stock of the skin. These bulk up the thickness, creating great looking, firmer and healthier looking skin.

As with Hair Loss treatments, treating cellulite with a dermaroller will require the use of third party products. Dermarollers in these cases, will only enhance and improve results and without other products, their results will be limited.

Advantages of Skin Needling

There are many advantages to using a Dermaroller at home or professionally.
